What does your floor need?

Every project begins with an honest answer. Choose the closest match — we'll refine it during your estimate.

The honest truth

Not every worn floor needs to be replaced.

Most solid hardwood floors have more life left than homeowners assume. Deep scratches, dull finish, pet damage, sun fading and old stains often disappear under proper sanding. Boards that look beyond repair can usually be patched with matching wood.

Full replacement only becomes necessary in specific cases — and when it does, we'll tell you.

How we work

The Restore-or-Replace Assessment

Five steps. In your home. No pressure.

Tell us about the project
01

Tell us about the project

A short conversation about the rooms, the floor and what you're hoping to change. Photos help, but they aren't required.

On-site walk-through
02

On-site walk-through

We see the floor in person. Every board, every seam, every stain — an in-home visit rather than a quote over the phone.

Restore, repair or replace
03

Restore, repair or replace

You get a clear recommendation. If the floor can be saved, we show you how. If replacement makes more sense, we say so.

Recommended scope in writing
04

Recommended scope in writing

Scope, sequence, preparation and what to expect on-site — written down before any work is scheduled.

Next steps together
05

Next steps together

We agree on timing and answer the remaining questions before anyone picks up a sander.

Peace of mind

A better floor shouldn't mean a chaotic project.

The concerns homeowners raise most often — and how professional hardwood work handles each one.

Dust

Modern hardwood refinishing uses dust-conscious sanders and containment at doorways. Homes are kept clean during the project, not just at the end.

Timeline

Every project starts with a written schedule. If something needs to shift, you hear it from us directly rather than finding out on your own.

Furniture

Standard furniture is moved and covered before sanding. Delicate items are handled only with your go-ahead.

Color match

A real finish sample goes on your actual floor. You approve the look before the final coats go down.

Communication

You deal with the same people from the estimate through the last walk-through.
