Stairs that get noticed — for the right reasons.

Who this is for

Homeowners with worn, dated or squeaky staircases who want them to match the rest of their hardwood — or want to modernize with dark treads and painted risers.

Who this isn't for

Structural repairs or full stair carpentry, such as rebuilding stringers or landings from framing. We handle stair finishing and tread replacement, not framing carpentry.

Scope

What's included

  • Assessment of treads, risers, stringers and handrails
  • Sanding and refinishing of existing treads
  • Replacement of damaged treads
  • Painting or refinishing risers
  • Handrail refinishing
  • Non-slip finish option

How we work

The Restore-or-Replace Assessment

Five steps. In your home. No pressure.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the project

A short conversation about the rooms, the floor and what you're hoping to change. Photos help, but they aren't required.

  2. 02

    On-site walk-through

We see the floor in person. Every board, every seam, every stain — an in-home visit rather than a quote over the phone.

  3. 03

    Restore, repair or replace

You get a clear recommendation. If the floor can be saved, we show you how. If replacement makes more sense, we say so.

  4. 04

    Recommended scope in writing

Scope, sequence, preparation and what to expect on-site — written down before any work is scheduled.

  5. 05

    Next steps together

We agree on timing and answer the remaining questions before anyone picks up a sander.
